A lovely day, lots of people on the beach clamming, ATV'ing and camping.

A lovely day, lots of people on the beach clamming, ATV'ing and camping. No birds noted except 3 turkey vultures at the dead stellar sea lion, 1 dead sea lion, and bull kelp along mile.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: -1.8 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 3. Fishing: 1. Other Activities: 2 ATV's. Beautiful day, 3 families camping at exit of Sparrow Park Rd to the beach. Rest of the people clamming in the tide line and riding.

No sea gulls! 3 turkey vultures at the sea lion.Some bunches of bull kelp in the intertidal zone.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates
1 dead stellar sea lion (we think). Only a small injury noted under the right flipper was visible.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
