A sunny lovely day. Foredunes filled in with sand as usual this time of year. So few birds, no mammals. Fish dead at high tide line.Intertidal water lines were quite clean.Sand built up against the dunes.

Temperature: 65 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: -2.8 feet.

Number of people: 7. Other Activities: Driving. It was a beautiful day. Only 1 ATV, 3 trucks.

Evidence of shore birds having fed, 3 sea gulls, 1 cormorant. Lots of sand fleas and small bugs - see pictures. 2 vultures feeding on small fish.

Unusual concentration. Some crab & shrimp molts. 5 dead small fish. See picture.

See pic. As usual at this time, sand builds up in front of foredunes.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
