A beautiful day for walking the beach.

A beautiful day for walking the beach.Very few birds, several colorful dead small fish in the high water line with no apparent injury. Lots of sand fleas, a few large shrimp molts and small crab molts. A few brown jellies.Sand has migrated up to the face of the foredunes.

Evidence of feeding shore birds, 1 cormorant, 2 gulls, 2 vultures feeding on dead small fish. See photo of fish.

Unusual concentration. Need help identifying 6 dead small fish. No apparent injury. All in high water line.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
