Mile 153 - Oregon Dunes NRA, west of Threemile Lake - August 13, 2015

Report Details

There was intermittent rain with the fog. We drove down the fairly well maintained logging road - Sparrow Point Rd.Then there was water across the road. We drove through 2 of those with water up to the hubcaps of our 4 wheel pickup. We decided to terminate the trip because the channels get deeper nearer the ocean access!See you next quarter.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
