A beautiful day for this time of year!
Report Details
A beautiful day for this time of year! No activity of birds or humans on our mile. Smooth beach, with driftwood and dunes almost all covered up with sand.New signs at the Tahkenitch trail and on the beach at the north end of our Mile 153 denoting beginning of protected area for nesting Plovers. Saw protective netting in the area last report. This is a new southern addition of space for the plovers.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NE. Tide Level: -0.6 feet.

Some people walking on the south end of Mile 152.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
