Report Details
Enjoyed the coast with 2 friends after a strong storm swept over the PNW. We spent almost 3 hours wandering, picking up trash (a lot!), and searching for sea creatures and beached birds. The weather was perfect and more people were out enjoying the break between storms. We ended up picking up 3 large bags of trash (courtesy of storm), which was upsetting, and we all wondered how household trash gets washed up onshore. We also collected lots of rope and styrofoam pieces. 2 sets of deer tracks were spotted along the vegetation line, one small jelly was observed, and a flock of 25+ seabirds were playing in the surf.
Conditions
Temperature: 57 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 2 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 11. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 10. Other Activities: 1 person was picking up trash.. No vehicles allowed on beach here.
Concerns

Does not seem to be a lot of winter erosion; seems like driftwood is a little heavier.
