Report Details

Walking at low tide of 0.9 feet at 7 a.m. brought little company, apart from assorted gulls and sanderling-size birds in the wet sand. Jellies of clear and gold ran the extent of the mile, ranging in size of quarter diameter to a foot or so. Kelp, shell fragments, stones comprised the inanimate part of the drift line. Up on the dry-sand side, green mounds of vegetation sprouted here and there; no flowers so I had no hope of identifying the plants. No people; no cars or other vehicles.
