Report Details
This report was generated as part of the SOLV Beach Clean-up. About 8 pounds of debris, largely styrofoam and plastic, were removed from this mile. Some plastic and glass bottles were found. The number of dead birds (1 Common Murre, 1 Western Gull, 1 immature Western Gull and one unidentifiable bird) found (4) seemed to be above normal. Shells, animal casings and small rocks in driftline. ATV tracks were observed in a disallowed area and reported. Human impact was light (7)-3 walking and 4 rock hunting. Reported fresh ATV tracks in wet sand on prohibited beach.

Number of people: 7. Walking or running: 3. Fresh ATV tracks were observed in sand wet from previous high tide. The tracks went south to Mile 102 and the north jetty, and north into Mile 104. Observed an ATV in the Horse Camp at Bullard's Beach - correlation unknown. Reported.

Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 4. One adult Common Murre, one adult Western Gull, two unidentified. No bands. One fresh kill was perhaps eaten by a raptor because down feathers were scattered all over the beach and only the wings remained.
