Report Details
A few seagulls and a guy with 2 unleashed dogs were the only critters out on this lovely but chilly morning after 7. Small stones and scattered tree parts, bull kelp plus a few shell fragments occupied the wrack line. Two algae-encrusted crab floats came in during the recent storms, and a dead tree blew off the bluff into the tidal zone. Some of the summer's sand buildup was eaten away, resulting in about a 4-foot drop to the new beach level. A new sign is on the crest of the dune above the P-60 bathrooms. It shows three numbers, something like 147, but my memory may be unreliable on that.
