Report Details
It was a fine brisk morning heading north from the Coquille River at low tide. A couple of seals body surfed while Sanderlings and small sandpiper-like flocks scurried for food. The usual gull gathering hung out at the jetty, and a few others foraged further afield. No other people were on the beach as I did my usual 3-mile trek, but fresh tracks were apparent on my way back. Litter from the sea was mostly pieces of hard plastic and some plastic bags, bottle tops, lighters. Several large rock beds were uncovered. Driftline was mostly shell fragments, small stones and wood pieces though a few big logs are still coming in. 4 vehicles in the lot when I left, one belonging to a family walking toward the lighthouse, Didn't see the others.
