Pretty typical beach experience. The 2 dead pinnipeds appeared to be sea lions. One previously reported in August. Large flock of sea birds floating offshore.

Long hike on the Oregon Coast Trail from Floras Lake to Blacklock Point. Started at mile 60 and ended at the southern portion of mile 59. Most of the 4 hours was spent on the trail above the beach....

A smokey, foggy, walk on the beach. Had to shorten the walk due to the smoke. Nothing else of significance.

No unusual or significant changes. Wide open mostly deserted beach. The group of 11 adults and children at "secret cove" playing in the stream was the largest number of people I have ever seen there.
