Another wonderful morning at the beach at Cape Blanco state park. It was again sunny while I walked the beach north of Cape Blanco, that runs from the Cape to the Sixes River. I then walked inland...
  • A distance view of mile 57, looking north from Cape Blanco towards the Sixes River
  • The kind of slope or dunal type structure I saw on the beach. This particular one shows a bit of layering although it's difficult to see it in the photo.
  • Small flock of Caspian terns on the beach adjacent to where the Sixes River flows into the ocean. A kind of isthmus forms as the tide recedes that you can walk along to get to Castle Rock (the big rock you can see in the first photo)
  • this photo is not of anything in particular, but to me offers an idea of how this beach "felt" to me that day. Everything very crisp and clear, and somehow full of visual drama to which the sound of the surf adds.
