Report Details

As I sat on a rock to watch the activity at the port, I observed one fishing vessel come in and the fish in containers were hoisted to the dock. One man had apparently just come in from kayaking. He made several trips up the ramp, unloading and transfering items to his car, the kayak last.Another man walked to the beach from the parking lot with his kayak and launched it, taking a short ride. I'm sorry I didn't have my camera. I could have photographed the kayaker going out, with a commercial fishing vessel being lowered from the dock to the water right behind him. This shows the versatility of our port.It was a good day for sea kayaking with calm water and no wind. As I walked up the hill I looked back and saw two other kayakers going out and a sport boat being hoisted up to the dock.
