Beach still has a very wintery appearance with steep dunes and a relatively narrow beach.The flock of eagles was startling - I've never seen 10-12 eagles eating together before.

Notable Wildlife

A flock (approx. 10) of Eagles at the So. Columbia River Jetty feasting on a carcass.

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Wood pieces, Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Styrofoam.

New Development

Bluff development. Winter-like dune erosional features continue to be seen.

Natural Changes

Landslides/major boulder falls, Major cracks appearing in bluffs, Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Erosion of vegetated foredune, Visible retreat of solid bluff.
