Summary:
Four groups of two people were spotted walking the beach. One group had a very large dog, another had two small dogs. We found a dead shark, about five feet long, light grey in color. It was lying on its back, intact except for one missing side fin. We spotted 6 dead birds, one very fresh. It looked like it had bite marks through the chest, though was not eaten.

One person was laying down on the sand just past the wet, packed area and a truck drove by fairly close to him. It does have the feeling of a section of road rather than beach.

It was disturbing to see so much debris/litter on this beach.  I have never seen this much on any Oregon beach in the 30 years i have been walking the Oregon beaches.

Lots of large pieces of woody debris. However, it appears human removal of wood is common. There was enough trash to take some time and collect the larger pieces.

New signs on bluffs for parking lot identification - nice. Very little litter, plastic. One pair of tennis shoes. Again, cleaner beach than in past. Much more activity down around Peter Iredale.
