In the course of our walk a very wet storm arrived. We started dry and ended up soaked. The few people on the people were mostly standing or doing short walks, no one in the water or playing. Tide was high and water getting rough. No debris to speak of but lots of wood and logs on the beach. Saw some dead birds which is not usual but they were spread out on the beach and it didn't look like any single cause, just normal birds dying. Also, saw some small groups of shore birds flying and landing (snowy plovers?) which we hadn't seen in a while and was nice to see. I hope we will see more.

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW.

Number of people: 18. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 18. Limited activity, tide was coming in and a storm was on the way.

Some small birds (snowy plover?)
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 5. All looked like gulls and they had been dead awhile.

We came across this flock of approximately 3,100 Dunlin a bit south of the Iredale wreck in Fort Stevens State Park.
