Check out the photos. We visited the week after the beach clean up so things were very clean. No debris. No dead birds or animals, nothing washed up. Fairly early in the day so not too much activity on the beach. Pretty nice day, not rainy or windy and not too cold. But very cool was to see a mature bald eagle on the beach. He was eating something on the beach when we first saw him and flew a short distance away as a truck drove by, but didn't leave. He stayed on the beach the whole time we walked; he would move around but didn't leave for quite awhile and as the photos show, he moved out onto the sand. Eventually he flew over the dunes, probably hunting. Really nice thing to see on the beach!

We came across this flock of approximately 3,100 Dunlin a bit south of the Iredale wreck in Fort Stevens State Park.
