Actions & Comments
this is an extra report, to make up for previously late ones. also, we had been alerted to some concerns in regard to the Refuge sign in the Haystack Rock saddle area.the plastic sign which had been covering the original sign, as implemented by USFW Law Enforcement officer Betsy Rosenbaum several years ago, had been removed. It was obviously not an act of nature, as the bungee cords holding it in place had been neatly replaced.recently, the whole sign has been reported missing, and then was retrieved from the beach by city public works employees. This may have been due to high wind a waves ??I am attaching a photo of the plastic missing sign.also, Geoge Vetter graciously allowed me to use his photo of Haystack Rock with snow.

Mile 313
A cloudy day with intermittent mist, with comfortable temperatures and light human activity for a summer day made the mile walk very enjoyable.
