Report Details

Most people were looking at the boat that washed ashore, dogs nearby.  The boat has been cleared by USCG and John Chapman from OSU to not be a threat to our local environment.  One truck load of debris that had broken off the boat was collected, the entire vessel will be removed by a contractor. No marine mammals or birds present on the beach during this visit.

Actions & Comments

Oregon Parks and Recreation department is aware of the boat that washed ashore and are working to remove it.  The boat has been inspected by USCG and a biologist from OSU to ensure no damage to our environment.
