Beach was very clean.

Beach was very clean. More dead birds than previously seen at one time. Found wooden pallet (perhaps remains of one previously reported).
Conditions
Temperature: 65 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 55. Number of dogs: 8. Walking or running: 24. Playing in surf: 5. Playing in sand: 10. Sitting: 15. Other Activities: one person was using a metal detector.
Vehicles
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 8. Generally carcasses were decaying. Six were sea gulls and two were too deteriorated to determine.
Driftline Content
Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). Few bits of styrofoam. One wooden pallet was up near the dunes (see attached picture). This was located just South of the glass-fronted house.
Natural Changes
Newly exposed roots/trees falling.

Observed at least 12 fulmar, 1 horned puffin, 1 rhinoceros auklet, 1 cassins auklet and 1 seal.

The beach was more stoney than sandy today, the tidewrack made up of mostly small plastics and wood.
