Report Details

It was a quiet but foggy moring on cove beach.  A lot of sand has washed up this summer so there was tons of beach for just a 0.5 low tide. Lots of pelicans hanging out by the bird rocks.  There was lots of sand all the way through the arch leading to Arch Cape, and possible to walk in shallow water around the big rock separating the beaches. This was the first time I've ever seen a shark washed up on the beach. It was spotted the night before by Miles and still seems relatively whole.  No indication as to why it died or had washed up.  The shark is about 3 ft long and was located just north of the bird rocks.

One dead shark was washed up on Cove beach on the south end of the mile. Not sure if it is a thresher shark or possible a white shark.
