Report Details

The sand still covers most of the large logs up high although the slope to the water has become steeper. There was a bit of seaweed on the wrack line, and some black sand on top down at the south end. There were a few gulls, a small flock of shorebirds, one man walking with his two dogs and little human debris. A dead sooty shearwater was documented. The only notable sightings were a set of fresh tire tracks at the water line and a strange small non-avian skeleton (pictures attached). Otherwise it was just a cloudy day at the beach with little wind or surf.
