This was a sunny, blustery day. The sand on the beach is broad, with a sharp drop to the surfline. Most of the wood is still covered. Nothing unusual was seen including almost no human debris. There were two groups of horses from the horse rental in the park, with 25 people and horses in all. One other person was sitting up near the dunes. Several single-species flocks of small sandpipers were mostly resting on the sand. Four bird carcasses were identified, a Cormorant, a Murre, an immature Gull and a Sooty Shearwater.

Number of people: 26. Sitting: 1. Other Activities: 25 horseback riding. There were two groups of horses which probably had the same two leaders.

Several relatively large flocks of small sandpipers. No mixing of other species.

A nice bright day with a large group of birders from 30 cars looking for Snowy Plovers when I started but only 13 people walking or sitting on the beach on my way back.
