Report Details

It was a BEAUTIFUL day to be on the beach. The ocean was white and foamy and the sky was clear and blue. Unfortunately, the tide was very high (9.4 at 12:01 pm) and the riprap along most of my mile made it difficult to easily walk the mile.

Actions & Comments

The tide was very high and there was limited access to the beach. Walkers either had to climb the riprap to avoid the waves or stay in areas away from the riprap. Many large, medium, and small logs have washed on the beach. Lots of seaweed, small wood, and debris washed in with the tide. There was a very large and full bag of house garbage in front of the wayside. It appears that someone may have tried unsuccessfully to burn it on the beach, but unfortunately it was scattered over a large area in front of the wayside.
