Report Details

Based on the small amount of garbage picked up on my "litter patrol", one would be surprised to know that it was just a week ago that Rockaway Beach hosted it's annual kite festival during Memorial Day weekend...good job people!! Found several beach toys, a blanket, tissues, a few cans and bottles, and a small container of medical marijuana (bet someone's kite was fly'n "high")...all easily carried off in a kitchen garbage bag. Two items required help. Took a large plastic re-cycling bin (go figure) to the park host at Manhattan Beach to hold until the Park Ranger could pick it up, and advised the location of a 1'x5' very heavy plastic boat dock post (I think) which the Ranger will arrange to be picked up off the beach.
