Beautiful Indian summer day to walk my mile.  I observed 15 people along with their dogs on the beach and northe jetty. One man was surf fishing. Usually there are people fishing off the jetty but not todya due to the rate the tide was comming in(1.4' per hour) The tide was fairly high, the drift line I was looking at was a few days old.(Dried sea grass)  I was surprised to find an Ocean Sunfish washed ashore. I read about them when I got home I found that Yes their habitat does include this area of the Pacific.  Alot less human activity this time of year with western half of the Barview County Campground closed until late Spring. I  found  very little trash in comparison to my other mile walks (see photo).  The fore dunes on the souther section of my mile have vegetation returning after last winters high tides erosion.  Campers burned 98% of the driftwood that had accumulated over the winter.
