Mile 281 Report
Oceanside Beach, State Wayside, Agate Beach
March 22, 2015
A quiet weekend for the beginning of spring break.
Report Details
A quiet weekend for the beginning of spring break. We saw just 21 people and 2 dogs. There was more bull kelp than usual. We found one dead bufflehead, and observed gulls and crows on the beach. Happily, there was less trash on the beach than usual. Recent heavy rain may account for the new small landslide south of Maxwell point (see photo). Unfortunately, as we drove home we saw an RV discharging waste water (not sewage) onto the ground along the highway, at the roadside parking just south of Oceanside.
