birds seen or heard: spotted towhee, orange crowned warbler, white crowned sparrow, western gull, song sparrow.

Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. eelgrass in wrack line, very few shells
Actions & Comments
Unable to access beach north of tunnel. Mud in the most southernly five feet of the tunnel contained mud; the most northernly 10 feet of the tunnel contained a pool of water (and we did not have boots).

Debris from landslide now cleared and tunnel is accessible again.

I'm filing this report because of the big landslide on the south end of the Oceanside Tunnel.

Landslide that occurred on Dec 5 has covered most of south entrance from Oceanside Beach to the manmade tunnel under Maxwell point.
