Fish & Invertebrates:
Kelp or Algae·Animal casings (e.g. crab, shrimp molt)·Land-based debris (picnics, etc.)·Shells·Small rocks·Wood pieces
Beach was quite clean
New Development:
Natural Changes:
During the summer visitors carved steps into the bluffs in a couple of places. I mentioned this to a ranger - he didn't seem too concerned.
It was a lovely, warm day at Cape Lookout SP.There were rocks scattered over the sand - last week there weren't any. Assume it's because of stormy weather last week pulling rocks from cobble. The beach seems to have survived another summer of heavy use with minimal damage.
