Appeared to be very low tide, wet beach area larger than we have seen in the past.

Appeared to be very low tide, wet beach area larger than we have seen in the past. Some large areas of crab molt. Beach was clean, almost no man-made debris. There was a dead sea lion at the southern end of the mile with turkey vultures eating the carcass.

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: -0.3 feet.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.
