Report Details

The Harts Cove trail was recently maintained by Forest Service so it was good access to the top of the cliffs there and surrounding the cove itself. I noted some huge trees washed into the cove most likely from the erosion in the miles to the south. I also noted 30+ Sea Lions lining the shoreline south of the cove and on the Two Arches rocks.

Conditions

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: W. Tide Level: 0.0 feet.

Human Activities

Many hikers out and about very early. I encountered 10 while at the end of the Harts Cove Trail while attempting to view the available shoreline from above with binoculars. Most humans I encountered were wearing masks from the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Concerns

Apparent violations: None.
