Contacted LCPD regarding unattended fire at the north end of Roads End beach, just below 7659 NW Logan Rd.

Contacted LCPD regarding unattended fire at the north end of Roads End beach, just below 7659 NW Logan Rd. I tried to smother it with sand but did not have tools. Fire was near vegetation and the wind was feeding the flames. Also, a sick sea lion near the water and just south of the 72nd street beach access. Reminded people on the beach to stay way back. Contacted Jim Rice and submitted Marine Mammal Report.

Temperature: 58 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.
Human Activities
People and dogs getting too close to lethargic sea lion on the beach.

Just wanted to say there have been a lot of brown pelicans this season, more than I've ever seen, and I'm wondering if they will stay for the winter?
