Only a dozen "new" dead birds. However, this beach did see a large die-off of the blue-footed Cassin's auklets in December when at least 100 were found, another 50 probably buried in the sand. I still see remnants of that die-off but the situation has seemed to improve.

Total stranded mammals: 1. 1 very decomposed sea lion(?) carcass just north of 73rd Street beach access
