January 3, 2018
I am filing this report to add photo documentation of the king tide today.
Report Details
I am filing this report to add photo documentation of the king tide today. My previous post for January 2, 2018, explained that today’s high tide according to the tide chart was 8.1 yet in actuality it was much higher than yesterday’s high tide which was supposed to be 8.3. The tide reached the rap and/or sand bluffs of miles 244 and 245. In fact the north end of mile 245 at Roads End was dangerous today during the king tide. I did not walk my full mile today due to the high surf and tide. I hope the dead sea lions get washed out- what a stench! On the beauty side i watched rainbows fly off the waves for a long while which was amazingly wonderful.

What stays the same here and needs attention is the plastic drainage pipes hanging down the cliff from private property that drain onto the beach.
