After very rainy weekend and very sunny Monday, Tuesday started out sunny and turned to cloudy, windy with expected rain. Significantly fewer people and dogs than anticipated. Concerned about smoldering fires and number of abandoned fire circles along the lenght of the mile. Saw my first pelicans of the season last week. Watched but did not see any today.

Concerns

Fire

Apparent violations: At NW 15th Street access, Lincoln City, three active fires, one smoldering/smoking through sand, and collected 10 beer cans semi hurried in sand that were burned and very warm to the touch so fire wasn't long out. Did not have container to get water and closest people were also around burning fire with no bucket in sight so did not approach..

Total dead birds: 1.
