Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Observed Jan 31, 2019 even though not report day. High concentration of jelly fish approximately 100 yds starting at Surftides access and going south, 2945 NW Jetty: over 30 whole jellies and hundreds of pieces. Next 100 yds south, about 10-20 whole jellies and more pieces. Walking farther south, just occasional pieces within normal expectation. See attached photos.
Driftline Content
Small rocks. Gravel bed revealed 200 yards north of Surftides, 2945 NW Jetty. Very little debris on beach or driftline.
New Development
Bluff development. Starfish Inn development continues as noted in January. See photo attached.
Man-made Modifications
Sand removal. Significant digging in sand bank about 20 yards south of 15th Street Auto access. See photo attached. Also, graffiti as noted and photographed.
Actions & Comments
Fawn said she would send contact information for various concerns. Not sure who to call for removal of blue painted pallet (too heavy to haul) and did not find any mention on Parks and Rec web, didn't think it was police or sherrif issue.

Balmy 40 degree quiet day after a week of freezing rain and significant ice with temps in the low 30's.

For the first time, no dead birds or mammals seen, but many dead fish at the wrack line today.
