Mid week summer day: people with dogs running loose. Calm, weather app said 61 but could easily have been 70 or above. It was cooler in the Willamette Valley so winds were less here. Beach access at NW 34 and NW 15th in Lincoln City is currently blocked. Clusters of California blue mussels scattered on the beach.

Human Activities
Number of people: 172. Number of dogs: 18. Walking or running: 149. Sitting: 8. Tidepooling: 15. Beach access at NW 34 and NW 15th in Lincoln City is currently blocked. YEA! Makes a huge difference in the behavior of the people on the beach.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 10. More dead birds than usual and have collected for a week or two so no identification. Appear to be seagulls.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Unusual number of large mussels on the beach, in small clusters of 3-5. A few snails I reunited with the water as it would be a while before the tide came to get them.

Small rocks, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt).
Man-made Modifications
New erosion at the "Nordic Caves" about NW 26th on Wecoma Beach. Fresh cliff face will just encourage more carvings and climbing.
