Noticed initials carved on hillside, potential cause of erosion. Saw small shelters built in driftwood, not permanent structures as in the past. There were approximately ten small seals in shallow water at shoreline in the Yaquina Bay area, probably feeding.

This was the first sunny and warm day of spring, and lots of visitors filled the beach; almost like a summer day! Significant sand erosion had recently occurred and many logs have been moved higher onto the beach.
