Walked the Taft side of the Siletz River mouth, part of our mile that we don't get to often. 42 people, 9 dogs enjoying the beach. Some debris noted, mostly very small plastic pieces and bottle caps. Lots of driftwood and beachgrass washed in due to recent storms. No seals on the Salishan Spit (across the water) but we spotted a few in the water.

Temperature: 20 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 4.0 feet.

Not a bad fall day for a walk with our out-of-town visitors, but walking the beach was impossible due to the high tide and big waves, which were reaching the beach grass area and bouncing large pieces of driftwood around.
