A pleasant, calm day after two weeks of cold rain and storms; nevertheless had the beach to myself except for one gentleman walking. Very little debris noted ... only picked up a few items in the mile. The harbor seal population was all in the water "fishing."

Number of people: 1. Walking or running: 1. 10 people + 1 dog counted on the "Mo's side" of the Siletz Bay "jaws of death" ... but did not walk that side.

Cars/trucks parking: 2.

Notable Wildlife

No harbor seals resting on the Salishan Spit but counted 40+ in the water.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 2. 1 murre chick; 1 UNK

Not a bad fall day for a walk with our out-of-town visitors, but walking the beach was impossible due to the high tide and big waves, which were reaching the beach grass area and bouncing large pieces of driftwood around.
