Combined CoastWatch walk with King Tide photos day. An unusual amount of driftwood on the beach. Normally this stretch at the end of the Salishan Spit is a pleasant stroll. Today ... due to the high tide and the large amount of driftwood ... it was an obstacle course! More plastic debris than usual ... some of it obviously tsunami-related.

Not a bad fall day for a walk with our out-of-town visitors, but walking the beach was impossible due to the high tide and big waves, which were reaching the beach grass area and bouncing large pieces of driftwood around.
