Report Details

Schoolhouse Creek, adjacent to Wallace Street toward the south end of Mile 236, has cut a deep, curving canyon through the sand to the shoreline. Sand walls are perhaps 10 feet high. It seems like sand was dumped here, perhaps in preparation for riprap work? It has all been dispersed, but there are definitely two colors with different coarseness and there's a lot of it right at the mouth of that creek.Otherwise, no new news.

Storm damage for this mile seems mostly at Laurel/Sijota; Morris Excavation has built a roadbed parallel to the bluff for equipment access; some erosion at World Mark, north of state park.
