Human activities near or at the shoreline were confined to two fishermen at the far north end of the mile or just beyond (pictured). Otherwise, the only activity was far above the shoreline where there were people driving and walking along Otter Crest Loop and visiting the Lookout area to enjoy the view from the high vantage point, though the Lookout structure itself was closed. The only wildlife observed were gulls and cormorants roosting on offshore rocks and occasionally taking to the air. There were no unusual sightings or any natural or man-made changes to the shoreline.

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 2. Fishing: 2. The only human activities on or near the shoreline were by the two fisherman noted above. And, they may even have been just beyond the north end of mile 226. See attached photo. There were, as is usual on a pleasant day, people driving on old 101 (Otter Crest Loop) and stopping at the Lookout - where the visitor center/gift shop was closed - to observe the view, which was quite good at this time, sandwiching between episodes of fog throughout the day.

Notable Wildlife
Nothing was notable, just the usual sightings of gulls and cormorants.
Driftline Content
Small rocks. Driftline was limited on to one cove visible at this tide level where nothing at all was concentrated on the cobble beach except, of course, the cobbles.

No natural changes of any sort since the last observation three months ago.

No human activity was noted on or near the shoreline, the only activity noted being people driving along Otter Crest Loop, with a few parking for short periods of time at the Lookout at Otter Crest Wayside for the views.

On a nice, fairly calm and partly cloudy day on the central Oregon coast, there were only a few people driving along Otter Crest Loop and even fewer stopping to enjoy the view from the the Lookout at Otter Crest State Scenic Wayside.

It was a very pleasant sunny day and the ocean was calm, so visibility at and slightly below the surface of the ocean was excellent.

There was nobody observed along the shoreline of mile 226, however there were a number of people driving and stopping along Otter Crest Loop, the roadway that provides excellent overviews of the mile.

There were no human activities noted near the shoreline, which is usual for this mile, but there was activity at the Lookout, where there were a moderate number of people parking and going to the viewpoints and into the Lookout building gift shop.

It was a nice day to be observing the coast, what with the moderate temperature, light wind, and clouds that covered the sky thinly.

Humans were only noted well above the shoreline, specifically at the Lookout, where people parked their vehicles to get out for a few minutes to observe the seascapes.
