Surprisingly few bird carcasses on beach and no Velellas yet.

Total stranded mammals: 1. Pinniped - old carcass, very little remains and mostly covered with sand

Unusual concentration. Sand crab (Emerita)molts (I presume) very abundant, also small (4 inch) dungeness crab, but to a much lesser extent

A large swath of the bluff is well vegetated with shore pines, willow and native shrubs like silverweed, and black twinberry.
