Beautiful day at Newport. 47 degrees, sunny and no wind.Hardly any logs visible on the entire mile: either burried or washed away. Surf, bare and wrack zones very smooth. Foredunes slope very gradually. 2 gulls flying and 29 snowy plovers resting in upper bare zone south end of mile.3 instance of litter very clean this beach has always been!Found 1 beached tuna, 1 large immature juvenile gull and two sooty shearwaters (Reported the birds to COASST)29 people on the beach, mostly walking and a few surfing, 5 dogs.
