A beautiful day at the beach. It was great seeing so many peeople out enjoying the coast in a variety of ways. There were a lot of crab molts in the driftline and a few dead birds. Also many visitors on the mile today playing in and out of the water.

Apparent violations: little plastics in dunes.

Notable Wildlife

on a return trip 8/30, I saw a sea lion resting at low tide. There are now signs just south of the south jetty requesting people stay away from sea lions and seals.

Total dead birds: 1.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces. lots of crab molts
