Temperature: 45 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: E. Tide Level: 4.5 feet.
Actions & Comments
Observed a California sea lion, alive, on beach close to Lost Creek. It had been there for close to 24 hrs and had not moved much. Notified Jim Rice with the OSU Stranded Marine Mammal Network. Later in the day there were signs posted near the animal asking people to stay away and leave it alone.

We have noticed that during the winter storms the sand on the beach moves (presumably offshore) and then is redeposited during spring.
