Report Details

Quiet and rainy day on the beach...wouldn't have it any other way. Lots of kelp this time of year as the seasonal stuff dies back and comes in with storm activity. Fast retreating tide was beginning to reveal small cobbles and pebbles in new patches on the beach as the annual sand migration begins and the rock hounds emerge.

We have noticed that during the winter storms the sand on the beach moves (presumably offshore) and then is redeposited during spring.
