This morning I only ventured on part of my 204 mile, mainly to the north of the beach access at Driftwood Beach state park. The previous week had been windy, stormy, with a high tide on 12/20 of 8.21. Today was a calm morning, partly cloudy with a sprinkling of snow on the beach, mainly in the grassy dune areas and on the logs, kelp and driftwood. The reason I only went a little ways on my mile was the debris. As I was accessing my mile I met 2 ladies with a dog on a leash returning from the beach with an armful of rope and plastic. I had forgotten to bring a bag with me today for garbage, just had my phone and camera, so I took a few photos, loaded my jacket pockets with plastic and styrofoam and returned home. My observation was much more debris on the beach close to the access. I went home and retrieved a large garbage bag, reacher grabber and a 5 gallon bucket (photos attached) and then returned to the beach. I only made it about 100 yards mainly to the north of access filling my 5 gallon bucket. So much more there, I couldn't carry anymore. The bag I had left at the state park next to two garbage cans there which were overflowing with garbage that other people accessing the beach had also picked up. Along with the garbage that had come in on the preceding stormy days and high tides were some driftwood and a couple new logs along with bunches of bull kelp (photos attached). Today I saw 4 other people and 2 dogs while I was on my mile. They were closer to the water line. Once I returned from the beach to the park I dumped my 5 gallon bucket and some of the overflowing garbage into the garbage bag and took it home
