Beautiful day on Mile 200.
Report Details
Beautiful day on Mile 200. One dead seal pup (see photo). Mild fog with sunshine, nice summer weather. One lone Bonaparte's Gull was spotted as well as many pelicans, gulls, and sandpipers.Several drift wood structures.

Temperature: 64 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW.

Number of people: 15. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 15. Other Activities: flying kites (2). Tire tracks from Park Ranger.

Bonaparte's Gull (1), small and large sandpipers, gulls, crows, pelicans.

Total dead birds: 1. Not sure what it was. Black and white, approximately 5 pounds.

Total stranded mammals: 1. Seal pup, deceased.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Small rocks, Wood pieces. No litter present! :)

On Saturday, Apr 29, there was a volunteer cleanup event organized for a Girl Scout Gold Award with SOLVE starting a Patterson State Park.

Although there were only 6 cars parked at Patterson Creek State Park this early Monday morning, I saw quite a few walkers and off leash dogs on the beach.

There were a few cars in the parking lot in Patterson State Park this cool non-windy Thursday morning.
